Deck shoes Grand Large

The Grand Large deck shoe is the historic model from Botalo. It has been around since 1968 and was specially developed for Baron Bich, with the aim of participating in the America’s Cup.

The Grand Large is a two-eyelet model, very flexible and lightweight.

We are the only ones offering the authentic manufacturing type of this full moccasin: the Grand Large is made from a single piece of soft sea-treated leather, with a super lightweight white rubber sole that is glued. This artisan method of turned sewing is a traditional manufacturing technique that is becoming increasingly rare. The reason we have chosen to maintain it all these years is that it remains the noblest, ensuring durability and comfort for the shoe.

This ancestral manufacturing method has several advantages: the Grand Large is more durable (the model can be completely resoled by a cobbler), more comfortable (fewer seams) and more hygienic (the leather provides good breathability).

Our Grand Large shoes are machine washable.
