First, remove the insoles and laces. Slip your trainers into a delicate bag (or even a pillowcase) and throw them in the washing machine. Choose a delicate cycle with cold water and your favourite gentle detergent. When the cycle is finished, shake off the excess water and let them air dry without using a tumble dryer. The shoes will regain their original shape after one or two wears.
