Polyester is a synthetic material used in clothing that needs to be water-resistant, lightweight, breathable, or moisture-wicking. All or some of these properties are combined, depending on the garment's function. Compared to natural materials, polyester has the advantage of being more durable and longer-lasting. Additionally, synthetic materials like polyester require less water during production, a key element in our efforts to reduce water consumption. Some of our garments are made with recycled and/or recyclable polyester.

Elastane is a very stretchy synthetic polyurethane fiber, also known by the brand name Lycra. This material is blended with other fibers to provide extra stretch to a fabric. Elastane can be stretched up to six times its original length and then return to its length.

Our story began with the production of rainwear that protected fishermen from water and cold at sea. Since then, we have continued to protect people from water and cold, but today it is also about protecting water from man. The goal is to create quality products that last for years. We focus on sustainable materials, tested processes of dyeing with less water and chemicals, as well as PFC-free treatments. The garments never contain animal materials like fur, leather, or down.
