This jersey lining is made of 100% recycled polyester. Developed to resist friction and provide maximum comfort and flexibility through its mesh structure, this lining is used throughout the Kids collection.
ChromeFree leather is soft and lightweight. It is also sourced from farms in southern Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul) and undergoes an innovative tanning process during which no chromium, heavy metals or dangerous acids are used. The simplification of the tanning process limits the use of chemicals and energy, and reduces the use of water by about 40% and salt by 80%. After tanning, the water is recyclable. ChromeFree leather is used throughout the Kids leather collection.
Suede is the reverse side of a leather that is sanded to give it a soft and supple appearance. It comes from farms in Rio Grande do Sul. It is tanned in Brazil according to REACH standards. Water is used sparingly during the tanning process. This suede is then coated with two water-repellent oils to protect the sneakers against light rain. The tanneries working with VEJA are certified by the Leather Working Group.
