Autry Medalist: a reissue of a tennis shoe from their archives

The strategy of the brand was to create a line of shoes specific to sports: tennis, running, aerobics. With huge marketing investments and advertising campaigns in major sports and lifestyle magazines, Autry became one of the best known and best selling athletic shoe brands in North America within a few years.

In 1985, the Autry "Medalist" was rated by Tennis Magazine as the best athletic shoe on the market and two years later, Autry "Jetstreamers" was rated 5 stars by Runner's World Magazine.

2019 is the date for the international revival of the Autry brand. For Spring/Summer 2020, Autry will offer a reissue of a trainer straight from their archives. The iconic "Medalist" unisex sneaker with a vintage look will be coveted by sneakerhead purists. The other flagship model of the American brand is the Autry Dallas!

The Autry Medalist shoe will be available in leather, leather and suede, and in smooth leather and cracked leather on a white base with a touch of colour. For this new spring/summer 2021 collection, Autry is offering new trendy materials such as goat leather, which is very supple and soft to the touch. There are also cracked nylon, nubuck, Kevlar models and the new addition this season, shiny metallic leather.

Following the first collaboration with Swildens, Autry offers a low top trainer with a revisited midsole with the inscription: "Everybody's Playing".

Did you know? Production is now located in Indonesia. The Autry Medalist trainer is unisex. The shoe is developed in leather, leather and suede, and also in smooth leather and cracked leather (for a 100% Old School and Vintage finish and look).

The range of colours is varied. The shoes have a white base, and there is a monochrome foot or a touch of primary colours (blue, red, green, black) or pastel colours such as pink and purple. The mustard yellow and gold version is also a best of the 2021 season.
