Back when sport was synonymous with running and style was synonymous with sweatbands and velvet V-necks, PUMA broke new ground with a lightweight running shoe designed for running. Called the Cabana Racer Fun and aimed at the most serious runners, this shoe was built close to the ground to strengthen every muscle with breathable cushioning on the trail and in the woods. Inspired by the Cabana, the new R78 Runner hits the traditional running shoe scene hard. Driven by a '70s aesthetic, but firmly rooted in the present, the R78 uses nylons, ripstops, synthetic suedes and pairs them with unexpected finishes.
